Spruce needles (Picea abies)
The spruce (Picea abies) is a species of plant in the genus Picea. The coniferous tree is native to Europe and far into continental Asia. Naturally, spruce is only found in cool to cold temperate climates, especially in the Nordic coniferous forests of Scandinavia and Russia or in the mountain climate of the Alps or the High Harz Mountains.
Smoking with spruce needles is generally considered invigorating and even euphoric. It cleanses and disinfects during colds, helps to find inner peace and is also very suitable for meditation.
