Chamomile is a species of plant in the composite family (Asteraceae). Originally distributed in Southern and Eastern Europe, it is now native to practically all of Europe and reaches growing heights of 15 to 50 cm. It is an ancient medicinal plant used mainly for stomach and intestinal complaints and inflammations.
