Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is a species of plant within the sweet grass family (Poaceae), cultivated and used as a spice and medicinal plant. Lemongrass grows as an evergreen, perennial plant that reaches heights of 1 to 2 metres. Lemon grass is used in Asian cuisine as a tea or tea additive; chopped leaves are cooked with it but not eaten.
When smoked, lemongrass calms the central nervous system, lightens the mood and promotes optimism.
