product description
Eucalyptus leaves (Eucalyptus)
Eucalyptus, also known as the blue gum tree, is a species-rich genus of plants in the myrtle family (Myrtaceae) with over 600 species which are mainly native to Australia and Indonesia. Most eucalyptus species are fast-growing evergreen trees and shrubs. The giant eucalyptus (Eucalyptus regnans) is considered to be the deciduous tree with the second highest growth height. The largest specimen, the "Centurion", which is about 400 years old, has been measured at over 99 metres high and with a trunk circumference of up to 12.7 metres.
Eucalyptus leaves are mainly used in healing incense, as eucalyptus has the property of killing germs. As it has the reputation of warding off evil spirits, it is often used in protective incenses.
