Common horehound (Marrubium vulgare), a plant species of the genus horehound (Marrubium) of the labiates family (Lamiaceae) and is a perennial to semi-shrubby herbaceous plant that reaches growth heights of 30 to 80 cm. Horehound is widespread in the Mediterranean region. In the past, the species was often cultivated as a medicinal plant.
