Walpurgis night Beltane herbs magic

Herbs magic on Walpurgis night.

At the top is the forest master,
especially this night
to keep the evil spirits away.
Its slightly intoxicating and relaxing effect
gives love the finishing touches.
So of course he can not be missing in any May punch.
The Teutons used it to flavor their beer.
But it must be carefully dosed,
because too much leads to a headache.

Brighid's recipes:

Woodruff wine punch
1 liter of white wine
5 g woodruff herb dried
(Galium odoratum) 7066b
5 g lemon balm dried (Melissa officinalis) 7023b
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1-2 tbsp honey
who wants to can add the following herbs
(to fuel the libido ;-))
5 g of Johannis herb
(Hypericum perforatum) 7051b and

10 g of stinging nettle seeds  (Urtica dioica) 7057b

First, put the wine with the honey and herbs
and leave it covered for about two hours,
but at least half an hour.
Then sift the herbs and the punch
infuse with a bottle of sparkling wine.

For the non-alcoholic variant take instead of wine apple juice
and then pour a bottle of mineral water instead of sparkling wine.

Make woodruff syrup yourself
to flavor drinks and desserts out of season.
500 ml of water
500 grams of sugar
Dried 30 grams of woodruff
1 organic lemon

Boil the water with the sugar for about 10 minutes until it has become clear.
Then wash the lemon, slice and combine with the woodruff
add water to the sugar.
The whole then let it draw for 2-3 days.
Then pour everything through a sieve and boil the syrup again.
Now it can be bottled in clean bottles and must
stored cool and dark.
